The aging infrastructure in Pottstown area towns turns out to be not just a burden to the municipality that must fix it, but also to surrounding areas. In September, after an earthquake, a hurricane and a tropical storm, Reading had to struggle with a leaking sewer main that affected every town downstream along the Schuylkill River, highlighting this symbiotic dependence on infrastructure improvement.
