Reassessments are plaguing area school districts that area already suffering from a reduced tax base thanks to a poor economy and a burdensome school employee pension system they must make up the difference for.

Sunshine Week, a time to examine the transparency in local government, occurred right after some on the Pottstown School Board were questioned about informal meetings on school issues. The above cartoon was in response to the school district lawyer changing his mind on whether such meetings really violated the law or not.
